Tiong Lian Basketball league

Basketball Crazy has been the home of many celebrity guests and up and coming basketball stars. In one of our episodes we guested a rising star and his team which was the defending champion of the Tiong Lian basketball league. The Tiong Lian league is composed of 7 schools that enrol Filipino Chinese students. The schools who are vying for the title are UNO High School, Chang Kai Shek College, St. Jude Catholic School, Hope Christian College, Grace Christian College, St. Stephen High School and defending Champion Xavier High School.

The Tiong lian league has featured a lot of filipino chinese basketball players who made it to the PBA namely Joseph Yeo and Ty Tang of Xavier. Christian Luanzon of St. Stephen's College, Lim Eng Beng of Chang Kai Shek College, Gilbert Lao of UNO and Atoy Co of then Philippine Cultural HS are the products of the Tiong Lian league. There are still stars in the waiting and are still in the process of making it to the PBA. This year the stars will definitely favor the defending champion Xavier Golden Stallions since they have with them the league's biggest star - Jeric Teng. Is the name familiar? Yes, he is the son of former PBA defensive man Alvin Teng who was then nicknamed Robocop. Joining Teng is his brother Jeron who will be the future of this Xavier team.

The Tiong Lian tournament opened last January 10, 2009 with Jeric Teng showing why he is the hottest High School star as the Golden Stallions beat the crap out of Hope Christian High School to the tune of 120 - 43. The Hope Christian team wasnt given enough Hope as Xavier's Saviour scored more points than their team as the Robocop's copy cop torched the nets for 52 points!
From the looks of it, the league just started and most of us already know that the Golden Stallion's only problem is how they will all carry Coach Lito Vergara in their victory ride.a
