When the 2002 Blue Eagles won the title you can see their faces all over television with a lot of them even guesting in sitcoms and other ABS-CBN shows. This year’s Blue Eagles also had the same experience although Chris Tiu begged off in the Kapamilya guestings and other networks. One thing different for this team though is their cover magazine stint with the LIFESTYLE ASIA mag. I have seen some players in Barong Tagalog but this time the whole team are in Suits! Imagine Yuri Escueta, Eric Salamat and Ryan Buenafe all suited up and not in thier usual Blue and white uniforms but in classic Amerikana baby. As usual Chris Tiu looked like a dashing debonaire while Kirk and Vince were dashing to the snow!
The team story of the Blue Eagles was what I had in mind had I written a thing about the team. They explain how Chris Tiu’s one step backward, two steps forward move helped the team since if he did not leave for France in 2005 then he would have not played this year.
