It all started in Camiguin islands where the best pastel was made. After that it found its way to Cagayan de Oro where cagayanons and tourists enjoy the delectable sweet taste of Pastel. I myself bought 5 boxes since I really enjoyed the taste of Pastel and its a once in a year thing for me. So if you ever get to Cagayan de Oro and is seeking a great pasalubong then pastel is the answer.
