I have always described her as beautiful inside and out. Who would celebrate their birthdays by giving people they don't know a party and gifts at that. Only Jeanne Harn would do that. Its been three years since she was inspired by one of her friends to reach out to underprivileged people on her birthday. The idea became a reality three years ago when Jeanne hosted a party for people at the Golden Acres- a place where old people stay to wait for the Lord to get them.
Last year Jeanne treated Cancer patients at the National Children's Hospital to a party and it was a big party indeed. Coming from a small group the previous year, Jeanne's friends doubled which meant more gifts, food and more importantly people helping out.

This year, Jeanne chose the Tahanang Walang Hagdan to be the site of her 27th birthday. Jeanne together with some friends and her family were there early and prepared the food and also the entertainment. I myself helped out by hosting the affair together with Jeanne and brought along some of the all-star dancers for some entertainment.
One of the most notable guests Jeanne had was Karla Henry the 2008 Ms. Earth winner. She was very bubbly and energetic and very game. When the people asked her to sing she did not have any qualms in picking a song and singing her heart out eventhough dancing was more of her thing. But then again, its just for the fun of it and for me Karla really brought the house down.
It was really fun helping out and I was a bit happy that the guys at Tahanang Walang Hagdan enjoyed the jokes I shared with them. In the end I was very proud of my good friend Jeanne for the kind heart she has. I commend her and very happy that she really took the initiative to make this happen. Truly she makes the phrase "Beautiful inside and out!" an understatement!
