Boto Mo Patrol Mo

How do you spend the "Araw ng Kalayaan?" This time around nation building is at hand as STI joins ABS-CBN's call for Boto Mo Patrol Mo...Ako ang simula. During the 2007 elections, ABS-CBN took advantage of the onslaught of technology through the internet and texting and combined it with the traditional tri-media to come out with the Boto Mo Patrol mo campaign. The campaign was such a hit during the last elections that ABS-CBN decided to hinge on some other campaigns through it.

The idea behind Boto Mo I-patrol mo was more of empowering the Filipinos to be more vigilant and proactive. Boto Mo I -patrol mo empowers us to report election cheating, violence and other sorts of bad things that happen to ABS-CBN through MMS votes, text messages or other means. ABS-CBN said that during that time they received assorted messages and pictures that made the incumbent local officials bat an eyelash with regards to what they have been doing. There were Mayors using public vehicles for their campaign, pictures were taken and sent to ABS-CBN which addressed the matter. That makes our cellphones powerful ally's in guarding our votes.

Last month, Boto Mo Ipatrol mo was launched so that Filipinos can guard election fraud and be part of a worthy cause in nation building. ABS-CBN's morning show Umagang Kay Ganda became the venue in which a nationwide registration for members of Boto Mo Patrol Mo was made. Registration counters were set up in Eastwood City, Luneta, Legazpi City, Kawit Cavite, Iloilo City and Gen. Santos City.

STI once again assisted in the registration process as partners of ABS-CBN's Boto Mo I-Patrol mo. Registrants were asked to fill out a form which was encoded by STI volunteers on the set of Umagang Kay ganda. Its nice to note that at this early, a lot of Filipinos are already signing up and making sure that Filipinos are there when it happens and make sure that this early, Election fraud is reported. Join Boto Mo Patrol mo it is something we need to do in making sure that the next elections, we will have someone who will win cleanly.
