The 20th STI NYC: Mission Possible Operation STI Heroes!
Since its inception in 1995, the STI National Youth
Convention has tackled countless topics that gave STI students nationwide the
latest in the ICT industry. From its simple beginnings to its
expansion into a nationwide event, what was once known as the National IT
Convention has now evolved into the National Youth Convention. This
year, Travel & Tourism and Business Management students will also benefit from
this two decade nationwide event as three topics in those fields will be added
to ensure that each STI’er can inculcate the lifelong learning skills
essential for productivity and competitiveness in the job market which is one
of the objectives of the NYC. The same formula of inviting industry
practitioners will surely help STI students get more knowledge in this amazing
roadshow presentation.
This year, the NYC gives its students something to look forward to
again as the theme of the NYC helps make STI students emulate what STI alumni
have done – become STI Heroes through their distinguished accomplishments.
There are a lot of STI Alumni who are now doing well in their chosen field may it
be in ICT, the Travel and Tourism industry or even in the field of Business.
These alumni were molded by STI to be job-ready and life-ready and they used
their STI experience to do stand out in their chosen field. They
are the STI Heroes. These heroes is what STI wants it future graduates to be
thus the challenge to every STIer is to Be the Hero! Be STI! The
theme Mission Possible Operation STI Heroes captures the essence of the NYC’s
objective to mold STIer’s to one day become STI Heroes.
The 20th edition of the STI National Youth
Convention will be launched in Bacolod City at the STI West Negros University
campus. The NYC will then travel to Iloilo City and Cebu City to complete the
Visayas leg, Legazpi City and Baguio City for the Luzon leg and to Gen. Santos
City, Davao City and Cagayan de Oro City for the Mindanao leg of the NYC. The
Metro Manila leg will be on February 3 – 6, 2015 at the Aliw Theatre in Pasay
City where 24,000 STI Students from Metro Manila and nearby environs are
expected to witness this grand event. At the end of the STI NYC, another 35,000 STIers will be
ready to become STI heroes specially when it comes to becoming revered ICT
Professionas of make it big in the Hospitality industry. For more information
